Three of the Dickson County runners advanced to the state meet, which will be held in Nashville at the Steeplechase Course on Saturday, Nov. 4. The top three teams and any other runners in the top 10 individuals advanced to the state meet. Dickson County's Jeff Hoover placed fifth, with a time 17:23. Dickson COunty's Brook Earhart (pictured) placed fifth as well, with a time of 20:57. Dickson County's Sara Stephen edged out Clarksville Northeast's Alex Correll by one secon ( in a time of 22:14) to finish 10th and earn the final state berth among the girls runners.
